ORISE Fellowship: Newborn Screening Quality Assurance Program

Available immediately: ORISE Fellowship with the Newborn Screening Quality Assurance Program (NSQAP), CDC, Chamblee campus. The position is renewable each year for up to 4 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic Bachelor’s level Chemist. Experience with mass spectrometry is a plus but training will be provided. NSQAP prepares, characterizes, and certifies dried-blood spot materials that mimic specimens collected from newborn babies to screen for inherited and metabolic disease. These materials are distributed to newborn screening laboratories worldwide to help laboratories achieve excellent technical proficiency and maintain confidence in their performance while processing large volumes of specimens daily.
